FINE four-point contact ball slewing rings or three row roller slewing bearings (often with internal gear) are used in Offshore drilling platform. Depends on the required load carrying capacity. FINE slewing bearings for offshore applications have to meet special approval requirements regarding material mechanical property and safety under catastrophic load cases. FINE slewing bearings for offshore applications are always subject to special approval requirements from the respective Classification Society. The forging rings must demonstrate a notched bar impact strength of an average of 42 J at -20°C. or 27J at -40°C. The bad environmental conditions require high performance sealing system. Inspection and approval by the Classification Society is often required.
Class-certification is available for all bearings, at additional cost. If the original calculations for the bearings are no longer available, we can have them recalculated by our own structural engineers.Certificates are available for each production step, automated records are available for all heat-treatments, hardness tests, surface tests etc. Also we could do the relevant standards and classification regulations,such as those of LR,GL,DNV,ABS,NK,KR,CCS.
