GANTRY CRANES

FINE TECH Standard bearings and slewing bearings are two core components for gantry crane operation. Conventional bearings support linear motion and power transmission, while slewing bearings enable full-range rotation. Together, they ensure stable, precise and low-maintenance crane operation under heavy loads, cyclic work and harsh outdoor conditions.
GANTRY CRANES
Case Details
Gantry cranes are heavy-duty handling equipment widely used in ports, shipyards, logistics yards and factories for heavy-load lifting and stacking.

Main Application Positions
  • Traveling Wheels: Tapered and spherical roller bearings bear dynamic radial and axial loads, absorbing vibration and impact during rail travel to ensure stable gantry linear movement.
  • Lifting Drive System: Deep groove ball and cylindrical roller bearings fitted on reducers, motor and drum shafts stabilize power transmission, reduce friction and enable smooth cargo lifting and landing.
  • Trolley Travel Mechanism: Precision bearings support frequent start-stop and reciprocating motion of lifting trolleys, retaining positioning accuracy and improving handling efficiency.
Key Strengths: Low friction, excellent impact resistance, stable dynamic load performance and high durability, suitable for long-cycle repetitive working conditions.
  • Rotary Crane Platform: Installed between fixed base and rotary turntable, slewing bearings support the total weight of booms, lifting units and cargos, resisting tilting moments to maintain structural stability during heavy-load rotation.
  • Port & Shipyard Cranes: Heavy-duty four-point contact and three-row roller slewing bearings are widely used on large gantry cranes. They evenly distribute composite loads and resist harsh outdoor conditions such as strong wind, high humidity and salt spray corrosion.
  • Boom Luffing Mechanism: Zero-backlash slewing structures achieve precise angle adjustment and positioning during cargo operation, greatly improving crane safety and working accuracy.
